Adam Miller has officially launched Art Cause NYC.

Art Cause NYC was founded as a collaboration between artists and supporters in the business and philanthropy world as a way to bring attention to the pressing need around the world of millions of people living in poverty, war and need. Our goal was to create a situation where every time a piece of art was purchased something would go to feed, clothe or treat those who not only cannot afford to buy art but often cannot feed themselves or their children.

With the creation of Art Cause NYC artists and art lovers have a sustainable way to use their work to do good in the world, to recapture the idealism and hope for which art has so often been a symbol.

Art Cause NYC was founded in New York as the dream of a group of artists. The founders of Art Cause NYC Adam Miller, Renata Telinova and Fedele Spadofora saw the potential to use their work to found a sustainable and ongoing charity. The unique idea behind the organization spread and grew, bringing in more artists and sponsors and has now grown to assist in hunger relief as well many other causes around the world.

Adam Miller was born in 1979 in Oregon. He began an apprenticeship under
Allen Jones at thirteen years old. At sixteen he was accepted to the Florence Academy Of Art in Italy where he underwent an extensive training in classical painting techniques and studied the masterpieces of the Renaissance firsthand. For the next four years Miller traveled in Europe studying the greatest art of the past, especially the Mannerists in Florence and the Flemish Baroque painting in Antwerp. It was while living in close proximity to the paintings of Rubens in Belgium that he was inspired to create his style of large narrative figure paintings. In 2005 the chairman of the board of the Portland Art Museum recognized his work and commissioned Miller to paint ceiling paintings in his vineyard where the museum board meetings were held. It was after finishing these works that Miller became known for his unique style. His work has since been commissioned to adorn homes, ballrooms, vineyards and churches around the country. His work has been shown in Galleries in the United States and Europe. Miller approaches his work as a theatre director, taking control of light and space to bring the visions of his imagination to life. The world he projects on canvas can be challenging and dark or light and playful but the beauty of the color and paint is always present. His work is filled with Symbols and mythology that create an atmosphere of mystery and sensuality craft is central to millers work. Every painting is made with great skill and love. Built up in layers of thin glazes and finished with rich impastos they are both precise and painterly. Adam Miller has become one of the rising stars of the new Realist movement.
