Cambodia's war torn history has left Cambodia a region with one of the highest concentrations of mines and unexploded ordinances in the world -with more than 4000 square kilometers of suspect land. There is an estimated 800 landmine casualties per year in Cambodia. The hazardous environment has made it difficult to rehabilitate and develop the land.

The group implemented GlobalMedic's Trauma Mangement and Field Medicine for Landmine/UXO Clearance Teams Program. Members of Mine Action Group Cambodia's Landmine Clearance Personnel were trained, and a needs assessment for medical support programs for MAG Cambodia's UXO clearing operations was completed, making recommendations for program enhancement.
