A Night of Wine and Art to support a School Project

Image kids LKF school

The Lumu Kabasindi Foundation School Project has now a site in Uganda, located 50 miles outside of Kapala City, Uganda's capital just east toward Kenya.
Situated very close to the river Nile, and near a village called Ngogwe that is close to the town Jinja, David Kibuuka has a vision to build up his foundation aiding orphaned children of AIDS/HIV

Sitting down with David Kibuuka, you get an idea as to what he wants to accomplish through the Lumu Kabasindi Foundation:

There is a plan in mind to start this project with first building a boys and girls living quarter to house and shelter these children, including a large dining area to feed and nurture these children. This dining area will second as a school room. A living quarters for caretakers who will look after and teach these oprhaned children. Being close to the River means access to water, using pumps for drinking, bathing, daily use. This first installment aims at being a small self sufficient institution that can immediately carry out the LKF's goal of food, shelter and education.

With room for expansion in mind, five acres of David's own land have been laid out. There are dreams of extending into a separate school house, and putting in a library to facilitate the education of these growing children. A workshop, to hone skills that will be useful in their daily living and also help to expand their employment prospects. David is hopeful to place a medical clinic within the grounds that will provide medical care to not only the children, but also to the nearby community. There are whisperings of a beautiful courtyard for the children to play and relax in.

For now, this plot of land is supporting the trees, grass and wildlife.
In the near future, it will be transformed into something amazing- also sustaining
these orphaned children.

In Africa, thousands of these children are hit by tragedy at a very young age when their parent's die from HIV/AIDS. They are left alone to care for themselves and their siblings. The Lumu Kabasindi Foundation would like to help in their situation and livelihood by providing food, shelter, education and health care. Becoming a life changing institution to help children towards a brigher future.

For now, looking at this photograph it requires a little bit of imagination..
Please help to make this project a reality, join us on Saturday April 26th for A Night of Wine and Art to support and learn more about this cause...
