The Fragments Exhibition opened on Thursday, November 1 on No More Landmines day in the UK. The exhibition runs until the 17th of November in 5 Pall Mall at the prestigious Royal Opera Arcade just meters away from Trafalgar Square in central London.
The opening evening was well attended with over 120 invited guests including diplomats and dignitaries, artists, collectors and a multitude of well-wishers.
During the course of the evening, two sculptures sold and interest in other sculptures was high. In every sense the evening was a complete success. The BBC covered the event and the link to the story on their website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7073039.stm
"Fragments" is a hauntingly beautiful limited edition bronze sculptures representing the terrible reality created by landmines. These fragmented human forms speak of the tragic nature of man yet stand as symbols of hope. All proceeds go to the No More Landmines Trust for landmine removal and survivor support.
The exhibition runs from November 1st to 17th. More information can be found at: http://www.motive-art.org/news-events/events/Pall-Mall
